I bet many people heard of it, it is the divine wedding organized for the dead Mujahdeen so I translated it [better say fine tuning it the credits goes to Mental Mayhem] just to spread the word and reveal the nature of those back grounded people, I mean if you read it you will just remember what you read in the history books how the Victorian travelers discover cannibalism in Africa or the Spanish when they discovered the bloody rituals of the Aztec and the Incas so put those people in the list also. This is the link to the article [Arabic]
Al-Banna family in al-Salt province accepting greetings for son Raed’s martyrdom in an Iraqi resistance operation.
Al-Banna family in al-Salt province [Jordan] organized a martyr’s wedding for their son Raed Mansur al-Banna who blew himself up in a car bomb in al-Hilla on March 1.
The father of the martyr proudly received the well-wishers in the tribe’s reception hall in central Jada in the center of the city of Salt. The story of Raed is similar to that of many youth from the city that left for Jihad across the globe. Raed’s appointment with martyrdom came on March 1, when he blew himself up in a car full of explosives in al-Hilla that resulted in the killing of over 133 people.
Raed, who was born in 1973, got his BA degree in Law from Muta University in 1995. During the events of September 11, 2001 he was working in California, said his brother. He noted that this incident [Sept. 11] changed him from a normal guy to a religiously devoted one, who committed himself to praying in the mosque while standing side by side with the Egyptian preacher Wajdi Ghanim in the mosques of California.
Update
There is a part I dropped intentionally because of it’s don’t fit to the real story, I wrote this:
a car full of explosives in al-Hilla that resulted in the killing of over 133 people.
But un Arabic version there was much more and thanks to Jeff for pointing the finger on the part I missed:
a car full of explosives in al-Hilla that resulted in the killing of over 133 people, the majority of whom were Americans.
Only now I think this part put by the creator of article.
Three months ago a journalist from Al-Hayat newspaper wrote an article in three parts about the Wahabi, mujahdeen in Al-salt province in Jordan, a great article because for the first time someone writes such a report from inside the wahabi [mujahdeen] culture, a very informative piece of journalism and rarely you can find such a thing in the Arabic written media.
Here are some excerpt from the Article and this in particular when he describes the divine wedding
Wahabis call Al-salt city “the city of the martyrs”, 20 youth killed from this city during their combat in Iraq with Al-Zarqawi against the America, this is a big number for a city of 80,000 inhabitants and it’s the biggest in Jordan.…..the Imam of the city knew Al-Zarqawi and when I asked him about Al-Zarqawi he said “Al-Zarqawi is a man with a big heart, a very good man, I knew him in prison and kept meeting him for 4 months, until now I still ask god to increase such men like Al-Zarqawi and bless them”.…..The Imam describes the wedding he said “the one who become a martyr we organize a wedding for him not a consolation, in the wedding people will read speeches and sing songs, we tell jokes and we laugh a lot, if somebody watch us from a far distance he will think that this is a real wedding, we consider that any one of us die for god is going to haven to marry a divine women from haven, here on Earth people people are celebrating when a man marry to a women made of clay [earthly women] so we celebrate also because one of us will marry a divine women”.
If you can read Arabic, this is the link to the articles, Part 1, part 2, part 3.
If you are interested to read all the 3 parts in English, I can translate it but in 2 conditions
1– At least 10 people ask me to do so
2– To be very patient

And I thought the FLDS were out on the edge…
In your fine tuning of my wife’s original translation you excluded something extremely important from the text. Your indicate:
“…a car full of explosives in al-Hilla that resulted in the killing of over 133 people.”
You cut off a very important clause. The original translation read:
“… a car full of explosives in al-Hilla that resulted in the killing of over 133 people, the majority of whom were Americans.”
This last clause is very important as it gets at one of the other major problems of the whole situation: There are terrible distortions in this story; no Americans were killed in this attack. Whether the author created this factoid or it was relayed to him by those at the ceremony it could have easily been checked by an editor but wasn’t, thus perpetuating a myth that somehow this operation was truly “resistance.”
I think you do you readers a real disservice removing that portion from the translation and I can’t really understand why you’d do it.
Jeff
I cut off this part because of there were no American victims in the real explossion only in the newspaper version, and i think you are right about the creator of the story he just made it looks like a jihaad so more Mujahdeen will go there.
Your translation of the remaining portions of the article is appreciated.
Thank you for the translations.
Yes, count me as a vote for the whole translated article
If you translate it, I will read it.
Yes, I would appreciate a translation.
Sorry if its not clear. The full translation upon which the above was based is available here:

I would be very interested in reading the translated article.
Thanks
Now, WHY does this part of the article remind me of a “wedding” near the Syrian border that was shot up by US troops a couple of years ago after receiving information that the site was a group of terrorists?
Hmmmmm.…
Ok I am started with the translation
