This not a new discussion or critic about flushing copies of the Quran in the WC or not in Guantanamo Bay (here I want to deny what other bloggers saying that a book of 700 pages can not be flushed in WC, the Quran is a very small book but how big it is, depend on the size of the fonts it had been used, actually if the whole Quran written in a newspaper with11px font size which is the default of the most newspapers font size, it will fit on one page only.……but this is another discussion).
To be honest I don’t care if it’s true or not but I do care and disparately want to know why now this story came up and people from both sides make a big fuss about it since it’s well known for a long time and who get the benefits of timing the story?..

Returning Afghans Talk of Guantanamo
Ehsannullah, 29, said American soldiers who initially questioned him in Kandahar before shipping him to Guantanamo hit him and taunted him by dumping the Koran in a toilet.
“It was a very bad situation for us,” said Ehsannullah, who comes from the home region of the Taliban leader, Mohammad Omar. “We cried so much and shouted, ‘Please do not do that to the Holy Koran.”

They were never given prayer mats and initially they didn’t get a Koran. When the
Korans were provided, they were kicked and thrown about by the guards and on
occasion thrown in the buckets used for the toilets. This kept happening. When it
happened it was always said to be an accident but it was a recurrent theme.
‘swearing at Allah, swearing at the Prophet, and the Qur’an. They used to read the English translation of the Qur’an, with their feet up, mocking, for example saying, ‘There are more questions in it than answers.’
Again I am not asking why? I am asking why now? if somebody have a logical explanation please drop it in the comments area.
