As you read or heard the news today about Al-Zarqawi (if he really exist) might be injured or killed with this statement on an Islamic website
”O nation of Islam… Pray for the healing of our Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi from an injury he suffered in the path of God,”
Four days ago the Aljeeran website published a weird report I though it worth to save and watch the development, I think this is the time to translate the report.
Aljeeran website noticed that later statements from Al-Qaeda in Iraq are no longer signed by Al-Zarqawi but by his deputy (Abu Adbalrahman AlIraqi) and that maybe confirms the news about his death . The statement condemns the establishment of a new brigade in Iraq from the inhabitant of Al-Anbar province to fight against insurgents called (Al-Hamza brigade) which as the article says they are co-operating with the Americans against the Mujahdeen.

No more worring about this jerk. His death is for all those men, women and children injured or killed. Hope Al-Zarqawi enjoys hell, just wish his death would have come sooner. Good job by the US and Iraqi forces.
I did read one brief report that said he was still alive when the Iraqi units secured the area. I doubt the soldiers would have ‘eased’ his passing.
The only downside to all of this is that he was not taken alive. I suppose they thought the risk of trying to catch him (and failing — again) was worse than simply obliterating him. Alas. There are very few nodes in the terrorist network, and no doubt he was one of them. It would have been useful to chat with him.
He was just one piece of the puzzle, but it is a good thing he is gone.
What I have heard from the news he tried moving off the stretcher but died shortly after they put him back on the stretcher. Possible when he was aware of the US Forces or possible may have been involountary, since severe head injuries can cause people to lash out in different ways. The information would have been helpful? I guess they did find out some information that was found in the rubble. If he would have been taken alive, probably wouldn’t have said anything? At least this way no one has to worry about the possibility of him trying to escape or set free?
