Dou­glas Wood’s fam­ily started their own blog in Eng­lish and Ara­bic with this text

This web­site has been set up by the lov­ing fam­ily of Dou­glas Wood, a 63 year old Aus­tralian cit­i­zen who is being held hostage in Iraq. We are very con­cerned for Douglas’s wel­fare. He is not well and requires reg­u­lar med­ica­tion. We appeal to his cap­tors to set him free and allow him to return to his fam­ily: his wife, daugh­ter, three broth­ers and their families.
