On Elaph a Lebanese writer wrote an article under the title “Miss England, the writer shows his support to the Iraqi girl and asking her to wear her Bikini in the competition and don’t care about critics from Islamic fanatics.
There is a comments section under the article and what funny about it is every Iraqi left supporting comments to Sarah and all the Arabs from other Arab countries were condemning her for wearing the Bikini.

I’m not a big fan of beauty pagents myself. But comparing her to a sex worker is a bit extreme. What is the great harm in a young woman being appreciated for her beauty and talent? The ‘exercise’ of the competition itself is probably a good experience for all participants and helps them build self esteem. This is just an early stage in the woman’s life and the competition, pressure, and exposure to a wide and critical audience probably builds character.
In any case, its her choice to compete or not compete, to try, to succeed, to fail, etc. In short, its probably nothing that anyone should be too worried about. There are far more pressing problems in life than to be concerned with such nonsense.
