You noticed that I didn’t write any thing yet about the video of British soldiers beating Iraqi teenagers.
The reason is I was searching for data’s about the ex-British colonies and this is what I came with:
At the old times of the British Empire sunrise that said not to know sunset, the Brit. colonial extension was huge in Africa and Asia.
Most of old British colonies were submitting to the Empirical control with little sporadic resistance here and there.
Only Iraq show fierce resistance and defiance against Brit.
Old Brit vets left nice memories 100 years ago about their residence Iraq just like their grandchildren are doing now and they hate to remember the name of Iraq !!.
I still don’t get it why people are surprised by seeing such images and videos, this is an occupation and this is what the occupiers do, killing and beating the natives.
John Simpson agrees with me.
No surprises in the war on terror
When the video apparently showing British soldiers beating up young stone-throwers was shown around the world on Sunday, a spokesman for al-Fadhila, an important moderate political party in Basra and southern Iraq, was asked for his reaction.
He was, he said, “shocked but not surprised”.
Many other moderate people throughout the Islamic world and beyond will feel the same way about this.
“The MSM sucks.”
Couldn’t agree more.
From “Cheney’s Smoking Gun”:
Hmmm…yes. It is obvious now that Cheney, Armstrong, and the US Ambassador to Switzerland, and the VP’s Secret Security detail were in a plot to murder Cheney’s 30 year friend, Whittington. When they wack a guy, they always send a friend.
Alex Jones has conducted some ballistic tests showing/proving that Cheney must have been MUCH closer to his ‘target’ than he claimed.
This whole thing about Cheney/media really makes the media look silly.
I understand that as a celebrity, Cheney is fair game in terms of personal interest stories and the like — Similar to what Madonna or Britney Spears must face when entire shows like ‘Entertainment Tonight’ debate about whether or not she wore an appropriate sweater for a beach party, etc.
Now if Dick Cheney had shot the president if Iran — that would be big news. The MSM would and should be all over it. But he shot his friend by accident while they were hunting birds on private property. It was a hunting accident. It was a bad accident. It was a tragic accident.
While the MSM certainly should report the event, they shouldn’t devote the news cycle for entire week or more, as ifthe world stopped spinning, to a bad private hunting accident.
The Basra video should lay to rest a scurrilous lie
The smug superiority of the British over their peacekeeping efforts in Iraq is an insult to those of us who live there
