All players have good days and bad days. All teams have good days and bad days. To get both the individual players and the team to have a good day (on the same day) isn't always easy. The US started painfully slow but if they are still building their momentum, it should be a good match with Ghana. The Czech's blasted through the US and must have 'felt' too high. Ghana brought them back down. I just hope our guys put their hearts into it. That's all I ask. If Italy smokes the Czechs, and we can beat somehow beat Ghana, then we squeak through... I can only hope the US team is just building momentum.

I can only hope that Harry Kewell is not off during the match with Croatia, for his chiding the ref for what was perceived bias against the australian team. He can be good, altho our best chances are Tim Cahill and John Aloisi. Failure to score goals happens a lot, even to the best teams...Kaka failed to score a single goal for Brazil in the Australia match, and he tried 3 times, yet he score the only goal against Croatia... I dare say they 'dominated' the first half. But its funny, we can't seem to score goals. The ref was right to take back beasley's goal that would have put US up, but he was wrong in other critical calls. The (yellow) red card against pope was a bit extreme because he knew it would mean ejection, and the tackle was nothing extraodinary. The second red card was just absurd. Playing half the game a man down to Italy and holding things together was a decent result. I'm not sure beasley should play in next game.
