Egyptian Coptic Church rejects the Vatican statement

From Al-Wafid Egypt­ian newspaper:

Egypt­ian Cop­tic Church under the lead­er­ship of His Holi­ness Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexan­dria and Patri­arch of Saint Markus, Rejected the state­ments of the Vatican.

We are here in the Mid­dle East live in love, and we do not dif­fer­en­ti­ate between one per­son and another on grounds of reli­gion, color or sex, we hope that the west to fol­low our example.

He said: I invite the Vat­i­can Pope to visit Egypt to see the blend­ing of cel­e­bra­tions in churches and mosques.

He added that the Islamic sym­bols start­ing from the Bani Islam and Sahapth flew the world and still in many things.
Father Radi Attal­lah, of the Evan­gel­i­cal Church in Alexan­dria, said that the Vat­i­can Pope is just like the West­ern soci­ety does not know tol­er­ance, love of the Islamic reli­gion and utterly igno­rant of the truth of this reli­gion and the rela­tion­ship between Islam and the mind.
