Arab Newspapers Editorials on the Pope medieval remarks

crusaders

Before you start reading the editorials, this is an example of the consequences on the Pope statement, I couldn’t find a link in English but this was published in Arabic:

The statement issued by the legitimate body of the Army of the Mujahideen:

In the name of the God of the universe, we will destroy the Crusaders in the heart of Rome.

Rome will be conquered by the soldiers Muhammad, and they will witness the deadliest attack on their Vatican, we will not rest and we will never stop, until we destroy your throne and break your crosses.

Under the title:

Vatican Pope joined the Zion-American coalition against Islam.

Timing of this attack on Islam has its significance; he came to please the American administration which marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington. and coincided with the defeat of the Israeli attack on Lebanon and Hezbollah victory and the fall of the neoconservatives scheme to establish a new Middle East, Moreover, it coincided with the failure of the Western campaign aimed at toppling the government of the Palestinian Hamas and the transformation of Afghanistan under the leadership of the Taliban into the quagmire of NATO forces and the victory of the Islamic courts in Somalia and enhance the status of political Islamic movements in most Arab and Islamic countries.

Pope attack on Islam and Jihad denies the principle of Iraqis and the Palestinians, Somalis, Afghans and all peoples under occupation, oppression and repression in their armed struggle for liberation and emancipation, it is a right guaranteed by international law and humanitarian law.

Fundamental question is, why the Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church Bank, quoted the Byzantine emperor of the 14th century, leading the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern (Orthodox), to express his opinion on (jihad)?

Everyone knows, that the Islamic state arisen on the ruins of thePersian Empire in Iran, Iraq and beyond, The second is the Eastern Byzantine Empire, If the Persian Empire had collapsed and disintegrated under the pressure of the Islamic state, the Byzantine state was a different case.

It is true that the Islamic conquests, , was able to deduct gradually, the Levant, and Egypt, and North Africa, and finally crossed the Mediterranean to Spain, all of this is true. However, the Byzantine Empire remained alive, and Constantinople as its capital.

Canceling the sanctity of Islam, and denying the divine source, and this is an important part of the Christian faith, which does not recognize Islam.

Under the title ” Pope of a new war?”…Joseph Samaha wrote:

There is a common ground between George Bush and Benedict XVI: hatred joined with contemptuous to the culture of the 60s, or what is known culture countermeasures.

Both men hate that period, its ideas, and giving, insubordination, breaking the tradition, these reflect hatred. …… There are fears that the Pope Benedict XVI will declare himself to be the pope of the global war on terrorism.

If the Pope, who is supposed to be the most rational Christian, believed that terrorism launched by the deviant extremism is the true picture of Islam, this means that he viewed the hundreds of millions of Muslims as extremists and al prisoners of evil religion awaiting salvation by some Christians as George W. Bush!

We must not debate with fanatic clerics of this type, because the fanatics usually do not ask the truth, even if it’s ahead of them, But perhaps it would be useful to remind them of the crusades, and how they spread Christianity in South America.
