Arab Newspapers Editorials on the Pope medieval remarks

Tim­ing of this attack on Islam has its sig­nif­i­cance; he came to please the Amer­i­can admin­is­tra­tion which marks the fifth anniver­sary of the Sep­tem­ber 11 attacks on New York and Wash­ing­ton. and coin­cided with the defeat of the Israeli attack on Lebanon and Hezbol­lah vic­tory and the fall of the neo­con­ser­v­a­tives scheme to estab­lish a new Mid­dle East, More­over, it coin­cided with the fail­ure of the West­ern cam­paign aimed at top­pling the gov­ern­ment of the Pales­tin­ian Hamas and the trans­for­ma­tion of Afghanistan under the lead­er­ship of the Tal­iban into the quag­mire of NATO forces and the vic­tory of the Islamic courts in Soma­lia and enhance the sta­tus of polit­i­cal Islamic move­ments in most Arab and Islamic countries.

Pope attack on Islam and Jihad denies the prin­ci­ple of Iraqis and the Pales­tini­ans, Soma­lis, Afghans and all peo­ples under occu­pa­tion, oppres­sion and repres­sion in their armed strug­gle for lib­er­a­tion and eman­ci­pa­tion, it is a right guar­an­teed by inter­na­tional law and human­i­tar­ian law.

Fun­da­men­tal ques­tion is, why the Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church Bank, quoted the Byzan­tine emperor of the 14th cen­tury, lead­ing the Roman Catholic Church and East­ern (Ortho­dox), to express his opin­ion on (jihad)?

Every­one knows, that the Islamic state arisen on the ruins of theP­er­sian Empire in Iran, Iraq and beyond, The sec­ond is the East­ern Byzan­tine Empire, If the Per­sian Empire had col­lapsed and dis­in­te­grated under the pres­sure of the Islamic state, the Byzan­tine state was a dif­fer­ent case.

If the Pope, who is sup­posed to be the most ratio­nal Chris­t­ian, believed that ter­ror­ism launched by the deviant extrem­ism is the true pic­ture of Islam, this means that he viewed the hun­dreds of mil­lions of Mus­lims as extrem­ists and al pris­on­ers of evil reli­gion await­ing sal­va­tion by some Chris­tians as George W. Bush!

We must not debate with fanatic cler­ics of this type, because the fanat­ics usu­ally do not ask the truth, even if it’s ahead of them, But per­haps it would be use­ful to remind them of the cru­sades, and how they spread Chris­tian­ity in South America.
