Yes­ter­day, a group of Arab States went to the Secu­rity Coun­cil, beg­ging for peace, and I say to them: I will not tell you about the removal of “Israel”, I will tell you about the set­tle­ment that you ask, How will you get an hon­or­able set­tle­ment as you say if you don’t want to fight.

You will not fight for the sake of Lebanon, not for Gaza, not for the West Bank in and not even for the sake of Quds [Jerusalem]. How you will get to a rea­son­able set­tle­ment and you say, every day you will not use the weapon of oil. Even some­body tells you about the oil as weapon, you will crit­i­cize him and make fun of him, telling him this is a fail­ure plan!

You don’t want to fight and you don’t to embargo [Israel], you don’t allow Arab peo­ple to get off the street and demon­strate, you don’t allow for the resis­tance in Pales­tine to arm them­selves, you don’t give them money and block their salaries. You do all this for Con­doleezza Rice’s eyes, how would you get a just and hon­or­able set­tle­ment, is Israel rec­og­nize you in the first place?

I tell you today that the Israelis look to the resis­tance in Lebanon with respect.
