Russia’s Media War

Lived in Russia for approximately 3 years, and I can manage to read Russian (not very fluent), the story of the murder of Anna Politkovskaya didn’t took the attention it deserves.

I am not here to investigate “who killed Politkovskaya�?, I am just trying to remind every across this post about the real Russia, and what is shamelessly not reported by western media.

Few people know that this was the second attempt on Anna’s life, the first was in Beslan crisis, and her newspaper published an article wrote about the why shy was poisoned:

It seems Russia cloned the US system of democracy, just like in Iraq if the journalist is not on the pay role then he will killed.

Ladybird only you could claim that the Russians copied the US torture. I think the Russians have been the would wide experts for a long time, the US is only now trying to catch up. Your accusations are laughable.

Al-Arabiya website hack was an inside job
If you understand how "Domain Names" work on the web then you will understand what I am saying here:

A former staff member of Al-Arabiya who registered the Al-Arabiya "domain name" with his name giving his address as the owner of the "alarabiya.net" by "Netsolution" through "Go Dady" is the start of the so called "Al-Arabiya hacked".

That explains why Al-Arabiya in the last few days changed the domain name from "alarabiya.net" to "alarabiya.tv".

The Saudi satellite TV thinks that the readers are idiots saying the hackers took the domain name. There is nothing called taking the domain name. Hackers can "hijack" the domain name but still it is registered with the owner's address. Reviving a hijacked domain name is a matter of minutes.

Hassan Nasrallah appointed his successor
Reported today on Kueaiti Al-Qabas quoting an Iranian newspaper called "Khurshid" saying:

Nasrallah appointed Hashim Safi Al-Din the chairman of Hezbollah's executive office [Nasrallah's cousin] as his successor, if Israel succeeded in assassinating Nasrallah.

Talabani secretly met an Iranian delegation
As reported on Kurdish newspaper Hawalti:

Talabani secretly met with an Iranian delegation Telewaera village - Horaman region [bordering Iran] last Wednesday to meet an Iranian delegation of six persons, eyewitnesses said.

The people in the village surprised to see Talabani escorted by a motorcade of 15 cars in their village without previously informing the local authorities.

Condoleezza Rice’s secret letter to Hamas
This is reported on Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida:

The newspaper learned from Palestinian sources that the U.S. contacted Hamas through the United States embassy in Syria.

Condoleezza Rice's letter "praised" Hamas position of the truce with Israel in the Gaza Strip and Hamas position from the rocket launchers targeting Israeli cities and towns.

The letter comforts Hamas about the United States position from sending Arab forces to Gaza Strip saying hat the U.S. became convinced of the futility of this step.

According to the source, this letter came as an answer to Iran's letter to Hamas showing Iran's concerns about Hamas operation targeting the Palestinian Jihadi factions still targeting Israeli cities and towns.
