Allawi: Baker’s draft reflects the failure of the US policy
This is part of an interview published today on London based Arab newspaper asharqalawsat with Ayad Allawi.
Interesting because he talks about the rumors of a coup against the Iraqi government and he deny it. Saying the occupation forces are in Iraq and they are not going to allow any coup.
Q: What is the true story of the coup which, according to some news you are planning to lead against the Iraqi government?
A: This rumor started strongly and spread quickly, It is strange that it reached some political leaders in many countries the in the world, and the United States. They believed these rumors, although we [here Allawi use “we? referring to his party “Iraqi List?] are outside the government two years ago, we have no armed militia and do not believe in armed militias.
After all the sufferings and sacrifices of the members of the Iraqi List, which faced terrorist methods of killing, burning offices and a deliberate distortion. after all this we get 25 seats in the parliament, and we do not believe in coups, this method when I was a teenager and a member of the Baath Party, now the mechanism and circumstances on the ground does not allow a coup, in fact there is no army to coup with in Iraq, but there are American forces and the multinational force.
This is an unrewarded rumor and I am outside Iraq to visit my family, how can I lead a coup from London crossing all the countries, heading to Baghdad? But what is important in this story is; it is a part of a destruction series of the Iraqi nationalists, and also to drop our credibility.
This rumors clearly planed by an inelegance of a foreign country, aimed to finish off the national identity and the planning of wider raids, arrests, kidnappings and killings.
Q: Published in the press, the outcome of the former U.S. Secretary Baker report, on the situation in Iraq has reached the Committee and the solution is to divide Iraq into three parts, the Kurd and Sunni, Shiite, Do you think that the solution of the Iraqi crisis lies in dividing the country?
A: I was puzzled by this news, How could a person regardless of his experience come to this conclusion through a quick review and interviewing persons within less than two weeks, I believe that this is a proof of the failure of the Baker and the failure of the US political process.
Surprisingly, a statements were offset by Baker’s statements, made by Condoleezza Rice, American Secretary of State is different from the draft Baker in Baghdad, where she spoke about her government’s keenness on Iraq’s unity and not division, So it’s makes me wonder which one of them represents the American political line, perhaps the elections in the United States next month will resolve the matter. We consider Baker’s draft unacceptable.

Bremmer’s laws clearly showed the intent of the Bush administration.
It divided Iraq into Arab/Kurd areas. It gave Kirkuk to the Kurds - even if the population did not support Kurdish rule.
I believe the US allowed Barazani to create a military, with the help of Isearel in the intervening time.
This policy is clearly an Israeli goal for the past 30 years.
Israel has used this strategy in the Sudan by splitting southern Sudan. Now splitting Darfur.
Israel used this strategy in Indonesia.
Since the Jewish lobby (euphamisticlly called the neoconservative lobby in the US) terrorizes the US Congress, they have no choice but to implement Israeli foreign policy.
Over the past few weeks, where Republicans and Democrats are fighting for votes for the Nov 7 mid term elections, they will be making new agreements with the Jewish lobby.
The Jewish lobby is not only fininacial influence but also media influence.
If you want to know the future of Iraq, go to the Israeli white papers, and the Jewish press. Do not bother reading the US government policies.
We are in the golden age of the Jew. Long live the new master race!
