Don’t let west­ern media fool you with such headlines:

The Lebanese oppo­si­tion is much big­ger and wider than that, western/American media are using this sec­tar­ian divi­sion since the colo­nials period because this is the how divide and con­quer works.

Pity that some of the Arab writ­ers fall in this trap.

Here is a list of none-(Hizballah) Islamists oppo­si­tion protest­ing against the US backed Lebanese gov­ern­ment puppets:

Michel Aoun: His sup­port­ers are about 70% of the Lebanese Chris­tians, also his group con­tains mem­bers from var­i­ous Lebanese eth­nic and reli­gion minorities.

Talal Arse­lan: A Druz and from one of well-known Middle-East Arse­lan family.

Fathi Yakin: A Sunni reli­gious leader, Fri­day he led the [Shi­ite and Sunni] Mus­lims to Fri­day prayer.

Charles Ayy­oub: Chris­t­ian Chief Edi­tor of Al-Diyar newspaper.

Joseph Samaha: Chris­t­ian Chief Edi­tor of al-akhbar newspaper.

Ziad Rah­bani: Chris­t­ian writer, musi­cian and com­poser, his both par­ents are well-known in Arab world with their con­tri­bu­tion to Ara­bic music.

    I won­der who is try­ing to fool who. Hizbol­lah wants to export the eth­nic wars in Iraq to Lebanon. Can’t wait till they take over and bring the same death squads men­tal­ity they are using in Iraq. Lebanon and Pales­tine have lots of non Shi’a tar­gets. It’s what we would call tar­get rich. But no mat­ter, all you have to do is con­vert, and give up any aspi­ra­tions to democ­racy or plu­ral­ity, and you’ll be safe in the hand of Hizbollah.

    The Lebanese should learn that they are the slaves of Syria, and that they will never be allowed their free­dom from Syr­ian dom­i­na­tion. They should know their place.

    Hi,
    I read your arti­cle on uruknet.info.
    Even though I agree with you that this is a mass protest against the cor­rupt govt of Lebanon . I am not so sure though what the REAL motives are behind it . And I have big ques­tion marks around the tim­ing. I do see an Iran­ian hand in there for sure .
    Dur­ing the last Zion­ist aggres­sion on Lebanon , I was behind the Hezb and behind Nas­ral­lah 100 % and will do so again if needed . How­ever this time around I have my own qualms and I will wait and see the results.
    I don’t trust Iran , see­ing what it has done to Iraq and I don’t trust the Mul­lahs either , know­ing that their ulti­mate loy­alty is to their Mother , Persia.

    Maybe there are Iran­ian or Syr­ian hands behind it. But the Chris­t­ian allies of Hizbal­lah will [par­tic­u­larly Aoun] will never allowed it, do you think he will for­get his exile years in Paris because of Syria?

    I just want to add this, in my trips to Lebanon [I will be their also after two weeks], Hizbal­lah is not what you think about Shi­ite in Iraq, for example:

    If you walk in Shi­ite neigh­bor­hood in Iraq wear­ing tight jeans with­out head cover, you know for sure they will be hos­tile to you.

    In Shi­ite neigh­bor­hood in Lebanon they are not, they will just leave you alone, and they will try to pre­tend they don’t see you.

    This is just an exam­ple and I am sure you under­stand what I mean.
