I don’t want to start a polit­i­cal dis­cus­sion here, I just want to show you this part of our life and his­tory which is I am sure totally unknown for many peo­ple around the net.

You see here “Fikri Bashir” mem­ber of Bashir’s fam­ily [Munir: the most famous, Fikri and Jamil].

The broth­ers Bashir are all well known in Iraq for their con­tri­bu­tion to Iraqi tra­di­tional Music.

    Hi LB– Many thanks for post­ing this.
    Reminds me that we actu­ally had a LIFE com­pared to the vio­lent death and slow agony of today’s Iraq.
    I love M.Bashir and also his son Omar. I have all their CD.s

    Only Lady­bird would present a video of some­one who could not bring her­self to say any­thing bad about Stalin. it explains a lot about Lady­bird, if this lady had been my music teacher, I might have grown up to be a dic­ta­tor lov­ing com­mu­nist too.
