American army..bombing the houses
Al Badr, Al Mahdi of Muqtada the rapist and the militias of Jalal al Saghir...

and why do you think he would make much trouble..he wants to take over the iraqi govt? or he wants to be president? or he wants an islamic state in Iraq which already exists since the laws have been changed to suit the marjaieh al shiia? What is his point according to your opinion.
I saw not less than 20 you tubes on al sadr and he admits himself this is a shia govt in power , so what does he want exactly?

Woops, no HTML? First link is from an Arabi forum and leads to video where Sadr is ordering for contingents to be sent into Iraqi army against Mujahideen of Tel 'Afar. Second link is recent from BBC regarding the arrest of Hakim Az Zamili ar Rafidi. And the last is from a recent Time article.

(<a href="http://www.al-faloja.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3092" rel="nofollow">video evidence of Sadr sending his scum to fight Mujahideen of Tel 'Afar</a>)

I think Sadr and Maliki aren't as hateful of each other as the media makes it appear sometimes. They do have inter-Shi'a turf wars and what-not, but in the end these guys are two sides of the same coin. Over and over, we see these groups change hateful words but their actions show only collusion:

"...some members of Iraq's governing Iraqi coalition have provided militias with protection." <a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6341321.stm" rel="nofollow">BBC from when the Americans arrested Hakim al-Zamili</a>

Similarily, in TIME magazine when the Americans played their little "surge" into Baghdad: "For the first time since the war began, U.S. forces had locked down the Baghdad slum known as Sadr City, haven to the militias and death squads loyal to rebel Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. Looking for a missing U.S. soldier, the Americans cordoned off much of Sadr City, preventing hundreds of killers from slipping out. On Oct. 24, the daily murder rate fell roughly 50%. It stayed down for more than a week, until Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki demanded that the U.S. end the blockade around Sadr City." (<a href="www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1580422,00.html" rel="nofollow">TIME</a>)

I said this part "resistance" in a negative way. criticizing Cockburn.

You re right, the parcel brought by the US, they gave these "black turbans" gang a freehand, they are against Sadr because he is not playing their game, although he is causing much troubles and doing big favor for them, but troubles uncontrolled by the US.

Ladybird, resistance against whom exactly..?
Muqtada is not fighting the americans, he is fighting the people in Adhamiya,Hurryia,Yarmouk,Haifa,Al Amel, Al ameriya...
Badr is fully part of the goverment and I am sure they do atrocities as well and I believe that Muqtada is part and parcel of them....

Sorry for absence

This is true Layla, but I still think that Al-Hakim is far more dangerous than Sadr, we all know what is Muqtada’s mind and what is his goal, Al-Hakim is a snake he doing many things behind the curtains.

What Cockbyrn is doing, he is legitimizing Al-sadr aggression and considering it as resistance

anyways back to Muqtada. You know that in 2004 al sadr deposed his arms after the americans stormed najaf and I know for a FACT that they did so when they received 50 dollars each... I am SURE of this information.
And you know in Iran the govt is split between hardliners and what they call reformists, well in later 04, Sadr was recuperated by the HARDLINERS in Teheran and he started taking up arms again this time against all the wahabis and jihadists i.e the sunnis...And this I am sure of as well.
I know that there are different tensions within the shi'te hawza but I still believe that the current shi'ite govt in Iraq despite their different flavors have one aim in mind....the objective is the ULTIMATE partitioning of Iraq. And this is something that Cockburn does not mention once....
