Since the United States announced its “war on terror”, the British have been in a quagmire. The country shoulders a heavy burden morally and financially, and its image has been damaged. Moreover, it has also paid a high price for domestic security. Complaints about Blair from all sectors are frequent. In addition, Blair has been involved in a number of scandals.
As for Canada, news came today that they are not leaving the allies but they are leaving the flock, the herd of sheep who followed the US in their fake war on terror.
Two anti-terror measures adopted as part of Canada’s response to the September 11 terror attacks will expire tomorrow after opposition politicians agreed they were an unnecessary infringement on civil liberties.

Nope — the flock’s still together. Some anti-terrorist legislation was allowed to lapse because of purely partisan politics. It’ll come back soon. We squabble with our friends, same as we squabble among ourselves; we never desert our friends. Canada will stay where needed, however long needed, as always.
