–No they weren’t — people had a choice between a wide variety of parties, including several secular non-ethnic parties (Iraqi National Accord, Iraqi Communist Party, etc). The only ones forcing them to vote along sectarian lines were the clerics!

–This accusation of US support is made without providing one shred of evidence.
..Iraqis (and foreign Qutbists) are killing Iraqis. To the extent that this is America’s fault, it’s because they ended the despotism of the worst tyrant of his time, who had set his country up for failure by playing tribes and sects off against each other. But America’s not responsible for death squads. You’ll have to look inside your own hearts for the cause of those.
TJ go and read U.S history in Vietnam and South America. After that read British history in Afrika and even French history in Africa. There you will find all what we today know are facts and evidence that they all commited terrible crimes to futher their powers in a country that is NOT theirs. At the time anyone who clamied it was happening was hit by its not true etc. BUT it was true. What is YOUR EVIDENCE that its not happening today?
