Roads to Iraq

Why the west accepted Qadafi’s offer?

It was a very strange this connection between Qadafi’s offer to “Europe to normalize its relation with Libya” and the case of the Bulgarian nurses.

I mean Sarkozy was even ready to sell his wife to Qadafi just to solve this matter, newspapers and journalists asking the same question (The Economists: A mysterious affair).

Lebanese newspaper Naharnet answers the question:

Lebanon asked Sarkozy to intervene with Gaddafi to prevent Libya’s joining to the Syrian-Iranian axis.

Over the past few weeks Syria and Iran successfully persuaded Libya to join the axis in Lebanon based on the old Libyan “experience” in Lebanon, which date back to the beginning of the war, particularly in 1975 and 1976 through adopting a number of Palestinian organizations and Sunni groups inTripoli, Beirut and Sidon in Lebanon.

On this basis, Libya started to revive some of its “sleeping cells” in Lebanon.
