A sudden love-lost between the US and Saudi Arabia

In a matter of two days, the US accused Saudi Arabia of two things:

- US accuses Saudis of telling lies about Iraq

- White House warns Saudis over machinations in Iraq

So, why this sudden love lost, even a $20bn Arms deal is not enough to make it good.

watan website reported the answer :

According sources, Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, refused an American invitation to participate in the international conference on the Palestinian solution advocated by the American President George W. Bush next autumn.

The sources said that the reason for the Saudi rejection was that the Israelis want only to achieve normalization of relations with Arab countries without a real solution to the Palestinian issue.
Egyptians subjected to American pressure, to stop financial assistance to Egypt, the annual 2,1 billion dollars because of their rejection of the formation of an international force on Gaza strip demanded by Mahmoud Abbas, and their insistence on the resumption of dialogue between the two “Fatah” and “Hamas”.

The sources added that Omar Suleiman, the Egyptian intelligence director general has made an unannounced visit to Washington in order to achieve a solution with Washington.
