Just like every death in Iraq, Multiple explanations and one death, options are:
1- Al-Qaeda:
Al-Qaeda has lost its influence in Anbar, [according news agencies and Abu Risha himself], also confirmed by Alhays on Radio Sawa yesterday:
Anbar province is Al-Qaeda-Free
2- Iraqi government:
This is the strongest option because of the situation in the city of Ramadi-Anbar generally irritates Shiite-government, because they failed to control their own strongholds.
Also, Bush recent visit to Anbar alarmed the Iraqi government, that Sunnis are growing stronger with the US support.
Sheikh Dulaimi, Chief of the Iraqi Arab Tribes Council said to Al-Hayat:
government was angered recently when he [Abu Risha] asked for more support for the tribes to to reduce the Iranian influence in Iraq
Mithal Alalousi said:
There is no doubt that specific individuals or political parties, some who claim to be in the political process, but they are benefit from the state of anarchy and terrorism situation.
3- Tribal differences:
Possible, tribes in the Anbar area love power and domination, maybe this was enough motivation to assassinate Abu Risha, they are already criticized him before.
Also reported earlier, that there were differences between Abu-Risha and Hameed Al-Hays [leader of the Anbar Salvation Coucil, military arm of Anbar Awaking Council], because of th withdrawal of the Accord Front from the Iraqi government may be one of those involved in the assassination.
4- The Americans:
Illogical? First attempt on Abu Risha’s life, the Americans were accused of being behind the suicide bomb.

Why no mention of the Iraqi Resistance? Granted, Abu Risha was a human being and I don’t rejoice in the death of any fellow human being. But he was also a very prominent traitor and collaborator. He crossed a red line in his conspiratorial dealings with the Americans, whose criminal neo-imperial policies have brought ruination on Iraq. As for Al-Qaeda and the ISI - these are false flag outfits sponsored covertly by the Americans and their Saudi clients with the express aim of sabotaging the Iraqi National Resistance from within and driving gullible Iraqis into the arms of the occupation.
