Sources told the news­pa­per that the US response to Egypt­ian government’s demand to stop the nego­ti­a­tions with the Mus­lim Broth­er­hoods was vague and did not con­tain explicit promises to end direct or indi­rect contacts.

Which echoes the US and Israel con­cern about the “after Mubarak”.
