The making of Abu Risha

Thanks to Keld Bach for his excellent find and thanks for Greg Palast who as far as I know the only journalist who dare to tell the truth, and this post is only to fill the missing link in his “Bush’s Fake Sheik Whacked:The Surge and the Al Qaeda Bunny”.

Why every single word Mr. Palast said is true?

First, people must understand the Iraqi tribes hierarchy structure:

I will use Wikipedia terminology because it helps to understand the rest of this post:

Tribe [the mother branch]—–>Federations—–>Clans——>House—-Family.

The tribe’s head is the “Don Corleone” of the tribe, he is the person with the one, last last word.

Where is Abu Risha in this structure?

He was a third degree Sheik, the head of the Rishawi clan„ but was he?

On 12-Oct-2006 Islammemo reported the Head of Rishawi clan “mysteriously” died in a car accident on the highway.

Sheikh Saad Khalaf one the Rishawi Tribe elders died in a car accident on the Highway between Baghdad – Abu-Gharaib

Abu Risha became the Head of the clan, but the head of his Federation rejected him saying:

A statement issued by clan Abu Rishah tribe in Anbar province

Clarify that the named Abdul Sattar Abu Rishah is related to us only by kinship and descent

Great Iraqi people

People of Anbar governorate

May peace, God’s mercy and blessings be upon you … And yet…

We heard about clan-elders Conference in Anbar headed by Abdul Sattar Abu Rishah , the Conference decisions and recommendations are incompatible with our tribal values and morals, political and religious.

These decisions meant to serve the occupation forces and their agents and harmful to the interests of the country.

Therefore, we declare on behalf of clan Abu Rishah our condemnation of this Conference and its decisions also wish to clarify that the named Abdul Sattar Abu Rishah is related to us only by kinship and descent but he not a clan chief or authorized to speak of its name.

Long live the great Iraqi people
Long live the Iraqi national resistance
The shame and stigma of traitors and agents

Sheikh Rashid Abu Hazim Abu-Risha Dulaimi
September / 2006

It was a very serious matter, but the previous statement was not enough, high rank tribal chiefs involved in the matter, and they issued a warning:

Announced today in Anbar the removal of four clan elders, who met with Prime Minister, the occupation puppet Nouri Al-Maliki.

Reported today – Saturday that tribes chief held a meeting in the Mahamdeh-federation [extends from Fallujah and Ramadi] house, attended by more than twenty tribes chiefs represent large Sunni clans in the province and the following was decided:

First: Removal of Sheikh Sattar Alrishawi [Abu Risha], Sheikh Hamid Farhan, Sheikh Dhiab, .……[I will spare other names] who recently joined a delegation and met with Maliki and the occupation forces.

Second: The Sheikh above to be considered pariahs and their words is not effective among the clans.

Third: The Sheikh are condemned to death if they enter Anbar province.

Forth: The Sheiks to be considered traitors to the religion of God, the nation, their sons and relatives must declare their innocence during three days only.

Fifth: the appointment of new other clan elders and declaration of loyalty to them during a period not exceeding one week in order to prevent seduction.

Sixth: Any agreements between the clans mentioned above and the government of the occupation or the occupation itself are invalid.

It is noteworthy to say that the mentioned above are not residents in Iraq since 2004, and they are condemned to death because they are collaborated with the occupation.….

That is extremely serious matter, after this warning Abu-Risha [and his companions] is “dead man walking”.

So serious that Islammemo reported:

Pro-occupation Iraqi government allocated special suite in Milia Mansour Hotel for Abu Risha after tribes in Ramadi condemned him to death.

Al-Maliki ordered that the Fifth floor in the Hotel overlooking at the Tigris river to be allocated specially for Abu Risha and his followers, as a honor for his position in Ramadi, which is considered as betrayal among the city residents.

The rest is history and I hope I added more information to Greg Palast’s investigation.

I clicked on the link given by Tarouqi above to an article on Aljazeera.net which makes very depressing reading. Iraqi tribes ought to be UNITING AGAINST THE US OCCUPATION — as they were doing prior to the liquidation of President Saddam Hussein — not against the US proxy / false flag outfit Al-Qaeda!!! The latter is a creature of the Saudi, Egyptian and Jordanian intelligence agencies. Its primary purpose is to drive GULLIBLE Iraqis into the arms of the US and it seems to be succeeding.…Are these tribal leaders as naive as they appear to be or have they been bought??

  2. Tarouqi says:

    Al-Qaeda = US Occupation = Iranian militia …

The USA is fantastic LadyBird, We came to make Peace in Iraq and build a Democracy after Saddam!

    1) IRAQ: Stage ONE, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
First Year: America Cuts through Saddam’s Army like a HOT KNIFE through Butter. Saddam scrambles into a dirty hole up North while his Rapist Sons hide up near Mosul.

The Rapists Sons are killed in a shoot em up with American Soldiers and Daddy is hauled in for some interrogation, and a fair trial, followed by a righteous Hanging!!

    2) Iraq Stage TWO: An Election and Constitution. A tremendous Victory for the Iraqi people, In-spite of all its internal and external enemies the Iraqi people showed great courage and patients and voted for freedom and liberty from the feudal past and old tribal ways!

    3) Iraq Stage THREE: After the Iraqi election the evil bastards really tried their best to destroy the spirit of the Iraqi folks and the Coalition Armed Forces who were putting their lives on the line along with the Freedom Loving IRAQIS!!

    4) Iraq Stage FOUR: BY THE SPRING AND SUMMER OF 2007 MAJOR SECTIONS OF THE IRAQI SUNNIRESISTANCESWITCHED SIDES AND JOINED THE GOVERNMENT AND COALITION AND AMERICAN ARMED FORCES!

ALL THAT WAS LEFT WERE THE BLOGGING E-SURGENTS AND SOME FEW SHIITE QUDS RESISTANCE TYPES!

    LOL!

Ladybird, the GOOD NEWS IS is that the Iraqi people are going to be the winners !!

America will have bases in Iraq and we will all be friends!!

    RamaDamaDingDong!!

    ;-)

Indeed, permanent military bases and control of Iraq’s oil reserves are the alpha and omega of US Iraq policy. US presidents have blithely sacrificed the lives of over 2 million Iraqis (and counting) since 1991 in pursuit of these wholly illegitimate neo-imperialist aims.

Not content with genocide, the US has destroyed the Iraqi state, wrecked its economy, torn the fabric of Iraqi society to shreds, contaminated Iraq’s environment for decades, maybe centuries, with depleted uranium. It has also wantonly devastated the most ancient and precious cultural heritage of mankind in the cradle of civilisation….

And still Americans (and Brits) think they are God’s gift to humanity!

And being utterly shameless, they dare to point blood-soaked fingers at President Saddam Hussein, the engineer of the Iraqi National Resistance and the Guardian Martyr of Iraq, who willingly sacrificed everything – power, wealth, personal freedom, his sons and his own life – in defence of his beloved homeland, its pride and honour, its economic sovereignty and political independence.

I pray to God from the bottom of my heart that Saddam Hussein’s steadfast refusal to give in to US blackmail will not have been in vain…..

I will close with a quote from PRESIDENT SADDAM’S RAMADAN LETTER to his brothers in the Resistance (14 October 2006):

Resisting the invaders is a right and a duty, and the same goes for those who collaborated with the western or eastern enemy. But I ask you, brothers and comrades in the various factions of the courageous Iraqi Resistance, and you, the proud people of Iraq, to be guided by wisdom and justice in your Jihad and not to succumb to recklessness. Don’t engage in tit-for-tat violence and don’t attack for the sake of attacking when the opportunity arises while you are carrying a gun. I ask you not only to exercise tolerance, but to keep the door of forgiveness open for those who have lost their way, especially if they show some hope of being guided. Remember that it is your duty to save those who have gone astray from themselves and to show them the right path. Keep the door of forgiveness open for everyone until the day of liberation, which is coming soon, God willing…
