Egyptian Islamic Group: A Farewell to Arms

Stayed on the inter­net for 24 hours but today it is unreach­able, Egypt­ian Islamic Group issued a state­ment con­grat­u­lat­ing Mus­lims with “Ied Al-Fitr”:

Allahu Akbar .. Allahu Akbar .. That was the same slo­gan our nation chant when we won the war against Israel in 6-October – 1973….

Cross­ing to the future is a legit­i­mate right… It is essen­tial to build com­mu­ni­ca­tion bridges between Islamic move­ment and the gov­ern­ment.. And stop­ping the con­flict and fight­ing between both.. The best way is that the Islamic move­ment renounces vio­lence and armed conflicts.

The Islamic move­ment should not go for­ward towards the gov­ern­ment and it must b con­fi­dent that it will not reach the gov­ern­ment, even if they reach it, they will be forced to aban­don it, the Soma­lia Islamic courts, Hamas and Tal­iban are lessons we learned.

A year ago AL-Zawahri announced that Egypt­ian Islamic Group joined AL-Qaeda, but EIG denied these claims.
