First a deal on Lebanon before a war on Iran

Jun­blatt changed his aggres­sive posi­tion against Syria in his last inter­view with AlSharq AlAwsat and after he came back from the US.

Accord­ing Syria truth web­site quot­ing French sources, the US and Syria made a deal on Lebanon, both agreed that the Army leader com­man­der Gen­eral Michel Suleiman is the next Lebanese pres­i­dent, who is known with his good rela­tion with Dam­as­cus, and that was con­firmed today by alara­biya.

Accord­ing the sources the US sent its approval to Syria and Saudi Ara­bia, this deal will be at the expense of Hezballah-Auon alliance with Syria.

That explains why Iran was sur­prised and angered because of Syria par­tic­i­pa­tion in Annapo­lis as reported yes­ter­day by AlSharq AlAwsat.
