Algeria explosions and the American ambitions

With todays’ explosions in Algeria, people should listen to two Algerians:

Louisa Hanoun, leader of the Algerian Labour Party was interviewed on Aljazeera a month ago she said:

Earlier this year, Hanoun was the first one to reveal that Algeria rejected an American proposal for an American military base in Algerian desert.

Anwar Malik, an Algerian writer and specialist in Islamic movements in North Africa, he wrote excellent series articles called “Al-Qaeda in Algeria”, in article 4 “Al-Qaeda in Algeria and the American ambitions” [September 2007]he said:

In the process, Al-Qaeda in North Africa will attack foreigners in Algeria side by side with other operations to justify the American project in the region.

the Algerian government objectives:

- International legitimacy of the overall war against the Islamists and the opposition.

- International protection, after it is proved the involvement of the government in the crimes of the civil war.

- Immunity to the Algerian army as important as the immunity of American army creating havoc in Iraq and Afghanistan.

- American friends officials in the government want an American military bases in Algeria.

- Confirms the innocence of Americans military to international opinion which replace the confidence in the Iraqi resistance replaced by suspicion.

Apparently, Anwar Malik doesn’t have any reliable english translators as the garbled text at the end of this post makes no sense.

Whenever someone rises to fight against the interests of the United States (like al-Qaidah in Algeria), they are accused of working for the United States. It is like saying that fighting for your freedom against someone imposing indirect control over you will lead to a justification for that someone to exert direct control over you. Thus, the freedom fighter and his oppressor are actually one and the same. The logic of colonial apologists and Muslim “moderates” never ceases to amaze.
