General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces issued a statement — Army Day -

State­ment from the Gen­eral Com­mand of the Iraqi Armed Forces:

.….The first deci­sion by the occu­pa­tion forces was to resolve the Iraqi army from its mem­bers, weapons and insti­tu­tions, which opened the doors for the destruc­tion of the state and opened the bor­ders for ter­ror­ists and intel­li­gence ele­ments who are cre­at­ing chaos and appro­pri­ate atmos­phere for mili­tias, death squads and crim­i­nal gangs to kill and shed the blood of inno­cent peo­ple for sec­tar­ian reasons.

The occu­pa­tion forces formed a new weak entity called (the new Iraqi army), a sec­tar­ian army its loy­alty spreads among dif­fer­ent com­mu­ni­ties and rul­ing par­ties based on mili­tias, and its mem­bers were given fake ranks.…..
