History: On this day 1991

This day 12-Jan-1991, US Congress voted for war in Iraq, after a false testimony by a Kuwaiti girl called Nayirah [pseudo name], the lies were repeated by Bush the father to effect the congress voting:

Babies pulled from incubators and scattered like firewood across the floor.

So, the Iraqis didn’t invade and loot Kuwait?
    And set a few fires?
And sold off many of the Kuwaiti goods in Iraqi markets?

Whatever the veracity of whatever testimony, Iraq attacked and looted Kuwait.
From, a geopolitical viewpoint, it may have made some sense to let the
Iraqis keep Kuwait, as it would have forced Saudi Arabia to be beholden to the US for
their continued existence. Think of all the cheap Saudi oil we could have had in America
and the ability to destroy OPEC.

Mister Ghost– Saddamlovers will latch on to anything in their attmepts to justify their pathetic immoral positions.

The testimony of one girl is all they can discredit.
