Secret contacts to speed up the building of an American military base in Morocco

After the attack on the French tourists in Mau­ri­ta­nia, Amer­i­can intel­li­gence had inten­sive con­tacts with Moroc­can intel­li­gence to speed up the secret ongo­ing nego­ti­a­tions between the both sides to move their mil­i­tary base from Stuttgart in Ger­many to an Amer­i­can mil­i­tary base in south Morocco.

Sources said that Amer­i­cans desire to obtain the Moroc­can author­i­ties approval, car­ried to sign a deal sell­ing F-16 air­craft, pur­chased by Morocco weeks ago.

The Moroc­can side offered a place called “Cap Daraa” in Tant­tan province in the Moroc­can Sahara, an Amer­i­can intel­li­gence Ser­vice del­e­ga­tion and a group of tech­ni­cians vis­ited the area and took aerial-photographs of the area to deter­mine the exact loca­tion of the mil­i­tary base to their final report to the Pentagon.

The Amer­i­cans pre­ferred a Mil­i­tary base with free access to the sea so they can con­trol the flow of arms to their base, Mau­ri­ta­nia refused to host an Amer­i­can mil­i­tary base over the territory.
