First images and video reported from today’s clashes in Basra with Ansar Al Mahdi group, the video shows Iraqi soldiers kicking and beating a prisoner, at least one scene shows an Iraqi soldier kicking injured person from the group, after one soldier tried to kill him but other soldiers prevented him from doing that.
Reported on Al arabiya that the leader of the group is among the dead, but Al Arabiya says that the group is “Slodiers of Heaven” which Iraqi government announce his death about a year ago [see this link “Leader of – Soldiers of Heaven– reported dead a year ago now is alive”].

Well, what do you expect — look who has “trained” those Iraqi soldiers? People who think it is a fine thing to drop bombs on sleeping families in their homes, and are taught to run over Iraqi children with their tanks and humvees will think nothing of telling the people they train to kick injured people.
Iraqis need to kick the Americans out of Iraq completely and take back their country and their lives.
What you all are saying is nonsense. As I can tell from your comments is that you don’t know Arabic. You should first listen to the video. The soldiers were repeating religious slogans to the glory of the Al-Beit (meaning the prophet). This is the slogan of Aziz Hakim’s Iraqi Supreme Council. So if there is anything to be concluded from that, is that the whole thing is fishy & needs thorough investigation. (But by whom ?)
The video is awful. The injured person shown being kicked & insulted doesn’t seem to be the leader of whatever is pretended. & I suspect the ISC to use the security forces once again for narrow party interests. Meaning they r trying to get even with other rival groups who might not be anti-govtal as they might be anti-ISC or just rivals for influence in the south of Iraq. That is why they are using the story of the Jund-us-Sama case to foster support for their ailing authority in South Iraq, especially with the prospect of their losing power in the next elections to come in 2009.
Reminds of the American use of Usama bin Laden’s story or the WMD for Iraq .….….

Saad what you said makes perfect sense. I admit that I myself did not watch the video, so I made assumptions out of my anger at the whole mess that was created by the Americans and that they continue to make worse and worse and worse every day.
I appreciate your analysis, and it fits very well will other known realities in Iraq.
