Mosul Army commander asks Baath Party for help

Reported on Fate­hoon, the com­man­der of Mosul’s cam­paign per­son­ally con­tacted the Baath Party mil­i­tary Bureau ask­ing for help to medi­ates for the return of for­mer army offi­cers to fight al-Qaeda in the province.

The news site reported that the com­man­der gave assur­ances to those who are unde­cided that they will not be fol­lowed by the gov­ern­ment after the campaign.

The inter­est­ing in the report is that the for­mer offi­cers put con­di­tion for their return, which is; the cam­paign should fol­low the Kur­dish mili­tias [Pesh­marga] who are the main obsta­cle of the city stability.

For­mer offi­cers told the army com­man­der about the revenge killings com­mit­ted by the Kur­dish mili­tias in city, using for­mer Al-Kindi mil­i­tary site as a tor­ture center.
