Egypt leaks information about an American military action against Syria

Jor­dan­ian news­pa­per Al-Arab Al-Youm reported today, through sources that an Amer­i­can mes­sage leaked by Egypt to Syria shows that the United States is ready to launch a broad mil­i­tary oper­a­tion against Syria if it insists on its posi­tion on the Lebanese cri­sis and this is the real rea­son behind the deploy­ment of “USS Cole” in front of the Syr­ian — Lebanese waters

The source said that the offi­cial announced rea­son of Con­doleezza Rice’s visit to Egypt is to push the Pales­tin­ian — Israeli peace process for­ward but the real rea­son is to explain the Amer­i­can mil­i­tary actions and the pres­ence of the Amer­i­can ships to the Egypt­ian leadership.

Update

This is reported today “US waived con­gres­sional restric­tion on Egypt aid” … which says it all.

    Mil­i­tary action against Syria? Under what con­text? What would they tell the world? Syria is no longer in Lebanon, is not break­ing any inter­na­tional laws, and has not invaded another coun­try like Sad­dam did to Kuwait. What would this admin­is­tra­tion invent this time around? If this was more than a bluff, then we should expect to see some prepa­ra­tion in the US media, which is not the case right now.

    Syria is the head­quar­ters of all ter­ror­ists today. it Spon­sers his­balah hamas many alquaeda net­works oper­ate in syria to blow up civil­ians in iraq it is a full blown oppres­sive dic­ta­tor­ship rul­ing against the will of the peo­ple. It is in alliance with iran to help irans ten­ta­cles spread near israel . it has the most appal­ing human rights on earth and still has the char­ter to destroy israel which iran needs. The best thing to to bomb this govt in office and help a democ­racy form which will be anto­gan­is­tic to iran and hizbalah . or it will be too late

    Does any­one ever con­sider why amer­ica goes after these coun­tries? Every­one acts like these coun­tries are as inno­cent as kit­ten fur. Pre­haps if these coun­tries stopped act­ing like lit­tle four year olds and threat­ting every­one around them, they might not need war­ships parked off thier coast.
