Sudan: Israel tries to spy on oil production

After one of Darfur’s rebel factions decided to open an office in “Israel”, an act which is condemned by Sudan saying: this proves “foreign hands” in Darfur.

A Sudanese official Dr. Amin Hasan, interviewed by al-Bayan newspaper two days ago and he accused “Israel” of financing the rebels in Darfur saying:

One of the biggest “Israeli” institutions in the U.S., the Holocaust Museum in New York organized two seminars on the Darfur crisis in the Holocaust Museum.

Opening an office in “Israel” means the cooperation between “Israel” and the rebels is becoming public instead of secretive.

This is reported yesterday on the Sudanese newspapers:

Sudanese costumes officer Brigadier General Jamal Al-Din Salih said in a press conference yesterday:

Customs of Khartoum airport seized a highly sophisticated Israeli spying device that sends data of Sudan’s oil production.

The device called “Router Power” manufactured in Israel discovered in a cargo came with friendly aircraft, and meant to be installed in one of the oil production departments to send production data to groups linked with Israel.

The Iran option

Not long time ago I wrote “The US is pushing Sudan to the Iran option”, and today newspapers say it all: Sudan and Iran signed a defense treaty.
