Details of Washington plot to prevent the Arab leaders from attending the summit

Amer­i­can media cir­cu­lat­ing that the Arab Sum­mit in Dam­as­cus was a fail­ure [all Arab sum­mits are fail­ures, this is a well known fact] while the real­ity is that the U.S. plot to pre­vent the sum­mit has failed, here is the details of the Amer­i­can conspiracy:

Accord­ing to assafir news­pa­per Amer­i­can embassies in Arab coun­tries dis­trib­uted notes to the Arab lead­ers ask­ing them to take “firm posi­tion” from the Arab Sum­mit in Dam­as­cus, this infor­ma­tion revealed by a del­e­ga­tion from one the Arab North-African coun­tries [Libya], in one case in one of the Arab coun­tries an Amer­i­can army com­man­der [navy admi­ral] escorted the Amer­i­can ambas­sador to deliver the note, the notes assign the ambas­sadors to fol­low up the imple­men­ta­tion of its content.

Same news­pa­per in other report said: “Con­firmed infor­ma­tion reported that a high-rank Jor­dan­ian offi­cial vis­ited Dam­as­cus to explain Jordan’s King absence from the sum­mit because of the pres­sures that pushed Jor­dan to take this posi­tion”, and this is also con­firmed by Jor­dan­ian news­pa­pers “Cir­cum­stances of Jor­dan absence from the Arab summit”:

Jor­dan found itself under pres­sure from Saudi Ara­bia, Egypt and the U.S. to lower-level its par­tic­i­pa­tion in the sum­mit for the fear of its inter­ests with Riyadh and polit­i­cal alliance with Egypt.[Jor­dan is hop­ping that Syria don’t take revenge, Syria feeds Jor­da­ni­ans with spe­cial price wheat]

Another report says:

Mem­ber of the Pales­tin­ian del­e­ga­tion said: What hap­pened with the Jor­da­ni­ans hap­pened with Pales­tin­ian Pres­i­dent Mah­moud Abbas, but the lat­ter real­ized it was a trap, and he decided to not to risk his rela­tion with Syria because he knows the Syr­ian influ­ence among the Pales­tin­ian armed fac­tions, and he don’t wants see the West Bank fac­ing the same fate of Gaza.

The Saudis mobi­lized their jour­nal­ists in the Saudi-funded media, like Al-Sharq Al-Awasat and Al-Hayat against the sum­mit, accord­ing Al-Quds [orig­i­nally pub­lished on Elaph, but they removed it later] the Saudi frus­tra­tion not only because of the sum­mit but also because of the Gulf coun­tries shift­ing away from the Saudi orbit.
