Gulf-Country Embassy-official detained in Damascus for involvement in Mughniyah’s assassination

Sources told al-Watan that inves­ti­ga­tions on the assas­si­na­tion of Hizballah’s offi­cial Imad Mugh­niyah reached its final stages, and there are evi­dence of the involve­ment of an offi­cial work­ing in one of the Gulf-countries embassies in Dam­as­cus, he con­fessed of con­nec­tion to the exploded car, the source also said that the offi­cial is still under arrest.

The sources con­firmed that 42 Jor­dan­ian from Pales­tin­ian ori­gin related to the assas­si­na­tion also has been arrested, and con­fessed of coop­er­a­tion with the Israeli Mossad to carry out the assas­si­na­tion of Mughniyah.
