You probably heard that Moqtada al-Sadr is threaten with another Intifada, if Maliki’s government does not stop targeting his followers, lets see the statement [this is not literally translation, this is an explanation of the most important parts ]:

The first paragraph starts with “I say”, then:

Notice the anger in this paragraph: We are targeted by [al-Nawasib=an insult name for Sunnis] from one side with bombs and explosions, as one of their leaders lately said [he means Al-Zawahiri last statement making fun of al-sadr] that I am an Iranian puppet, although other than Iraq and my people will, I don’t belong.

From the other side the enemy [the Americans] is targeting us with tanks, warplanes, artillery, mortars and snipers asking me not to stand against the Iraqi government [that we helped to make it exists].

This is borrowed from Hasan Nasrallah:
Hussain [the grandson of Mohammad] said “death is better than to be in shame, shame is better than going to hell”, from the religious point of view this is my principle: I don’t kill a Muslim, Iraqi or other [nationality], government official, military or civilian, otherwise we know how to deal with you [Iraqi government].

You are using the [Haddam=Saddam] policies…what is the guilt of the Sadrists to go out from [Haddam] oppression and to fall under the oppression of the occupation, the government and the [Nawasib]? …is their guilt because they are the “resistance”? .….or their guilt because they are the public majority who did not agree on the dividing of Iraq, stealing the resources and planning permanent military presence in Iraq…if you don’t back up we will announce it a “war ’till liberation”.

We tried to shake hands with the Sunnis and Shiites, one time we pray in [Abu Hanifa= a Sunni mosque in Adhamiya], the other time we pray in [Bratha=Shitte mosque in Karada, the mosque is one of al-Hakim supporters strongholds].

In this mess we did not forget to defend the rights of Iraq’s minorities — Christians, Shabak [minority in Mosul], Turkmen, Chaldean and others, and what did we get?!!… insults on our profit and the pope goes to visit the country that occupies our beloved Iraq forgetting the suffer of our people.

This is the last warning to the Iraqi government; to take the path of peace and don’t be just like [Haddam] government

I thank the supreme clerics rejections to the [government acts]… and I condemn the silence of the others who see and watch .. and I hope the ask the government to timetable the presence of the occupation.
