Hizballah trains Mahdi Army – two years old propaganda

I don’t understand this “media shock” about “Hizballah trained Mahdi Army” story, if I am not mistaken then this is [at least] the third time the Americans bring the same story to light and out of the sudden the story disappears, comes again and disappears.

2006 — We can find the story here: “Some Madhi Army fighters trained with Hezbollah”.

2007 — The same story again: “Mehdi fighters ‘trained by Hizbollah in Lebanon’”.

So, why the NYT is searching its old archive?, and is it really about Mahdi Army?

If you read the Lebanese newspapers today, all of them agreed that the situation in Lebanon is about to explode or to put it more precise, it is a matter of how soon it will explode [read al-Akhbar report] that even Aoun used a language he never used before threaten with a coup as near as tomorrow [watch video or read al-Mustaqbal report].

The problems of Hizballah’s telephone infrastructure and airport surveillance are escalating, airport security chief [Hizballah’s loyalist] is removed, Hizballah accuses Junblatt of implementing American instructions, all the eyes right now is on Hassan Nasrallah’s speech coming Thursday.

Noticed the similarity between Maliki’s government vs Mahdi Army and Hizballah vs the Lebanese government?
