The formation of a new Sunni militia in Lebanon to internationalize the crisis

Aljazeera reported that Saudi Ara­bia with­drew its ambas­sador in Lebanon, came directly after the announce­ment of a new Sunni mili­tia in Lebanon to con­front Hizbal­lah and “defend­ing Sun­nis” [Ara­bic link on al-Qabas, Eng­lish link on AKI].

Sources told the news­pa­per al-Bayan reported that the Amer­i­cans are study­ing the “inter­na­tion­al­ize” the cri­sis option, and the USS Cole is on its way to the Lebanese shores, Okaz news­pa­pers, under the head­line “The attack stage on Hizballah’s mini-state just started” revealed that a pow­er­ful “coun­try”, active in the U.N. Secu­rity Coun­cil asked for copies of the doc­u­ments that accuses Hizbal­lah of spy­ing on VIP vis­i­tors in the Lebanese air­port and the party com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tem released by Jun­blatt in his press conference.

Also al-Manar news­pa­per revealed that few days before the Lebanese fight started, there was secret meet­ing between secu­rity offi­cers from an Arab coun­try with Israeli offi­cers with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of the Amer­i­can intel­li­gence to dis­cus Hizballah’s mil­i­tary power and its con­nec­tion with the Pales­tin­ian organizations.
