The new Iraqi political map

Iraqi writer Zaid al-Zubaidi draws a new “optimistic” map of the new Iraqi politics, the writer says that the new “cut and paste” alliances abandoned their sectarian nature formed by the Americans, and quietly merging within each others on national bases.

The United Iraqi Alliance, and the Iraqi Accord Front dominance is finished, factions disband the “Shiite coalition”, nothing left of the older coalition except “Supreme Iraqi Council”, part of the Dawa Party and a number of independents, the finally blow to a coalition came from its main pillar “Supreme Islamic Council” who declared through its leader Jalal Din Saghir, that they intend to enter the next elections alone.

For the “Iraqi Accord Front”, things are unstable with constant threats from the “National Dialogue Council”

It is likely that the decision to return to the government has taken because of the emergence of strong Sunni representation formed by armed factions with strong influence including the members of al-Qaeda under the name “Awakening”.
A recently born Sunni — Shiite coalition, revealed by Ansar al-Dawa [Shiite] Secretary General of the Organization Mazen Makiya, will includes the Anbar Salvation Council, also a national project led by Iyad Allawi, and Adnan Pachachi, which will includes members of al-Fadhila Party [Shiite].
