Iraqi resistance rally in Mosul

Security

Reported by Yaqen today, Challenging Maliki’s military “lion Roar” campaign Iraqi, eyewitness reported that more than 1000 fighter from the resistance and armed factions rallied today in the streets of Mosul with their weapons and cars.

Politics

Al though in his press conference Ja’afari denied that his new formed party will join other political blocs, Awan reported a new political “gathering” contains (Ja’afari’s party, Allawi’s “Iraqi list”, Sadr Trend, and Al-Fadhila). According to the newspaper the “gathering” bloc expected to attracts others to join such as Salih Al-Mutlaq’s “National Dialogue”.

What is interesting about this report; is what the anonymous source told the newspaper about the Sadrists:

Al-Sadr trend is very weak right now, the trend is totally isolated. Joining a new bloc can be strength it’s position.

Why this is interesting? Because yesterday’s Al-Wasat article called “Can Sadr trend be a political partner?” say:

We heard many times that Sadr trend will join this alliance or that front, but we didn’t noticed the genuine desire or the required move from the Sadrists, because they realized that any partnership with the Sadrists will lead to more problems, their political ideology is mature yet.

I don’t think there will be such alliance, and you can be sure of this by checking Allawi’s words today in his interview on Al– Bayan,. He insisted on the importance Ba’ath Party to join the reconciliation process (Sadr position from Allawi’s Ba’ath party background is something questioned in the previous article), and the militias disband. Both are opposed by Sadr Trend.

Anti Bush — Maliki agreement

Ba’ath party spokesman Al-Murshidi announced his rejection to the U.S. — Iraq security agreement saying:

There is no value to Bush — Maliki agreement because it is against the International law and the Untitled Nations law.

Arshad Al-Zeibari, leader of the Kurdish opposition party “Kurdistan Justice and Progress Party” issued a statement:

This agreement aimed to sell Iraq to the occupation forces, timed with the collapse of the colonization project.
