Turkey vs. Germany, much more than football

Accord­ing to this edi­to­r­ial on the Turk­ish Zaman, tonight is not foot­ball game Turkey vs. Ger­many, but it is a mini-war between the “always-winners” the West and the “always-losers” the East/Muslims/Turks and others.

Early this month, The Guardian said that foot­ball is Turkey’s iden­tity prob­lem also.
