Too many Sadrists in Mysan

Dawa vs. SIIC

I think a war started today between Dawa Party [Maliki] and the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council [Hakim]. Maliki’s government put a new law today forbid parties from using “religious symbols” in the election.
Maliki’s decision is part of the hidden, silent war between the united Iraqi Alliance factions, reported here [Dawa vs. SIIC] answering SIIC and Hakim decision to use Sistani’s image to attracts voters.

Too many Sadrists in Mysan

R. Visser did did a good job to explain the situation in Mysan, and here I am just explaining things.

Let me first introduce to Mysan-governor “Addir Mahdoor Al-Maliki [Ironically he is from Maliki's tribe but he Sadrists].

There were many scandals with province-governors using their party’s connection to get the job, even they don’t own any diplomas or they represented fake diploma.

Mysan governor is an exceptional, he is [as far as I know] is the only governor with real engineering diploma. That explains the booming projects in the province; Amara’s municipal website explains the whole $25 Billion projects such as streets paving, sanitations, oil refinery and the province own electricity station.

Although the news of the arrest of the governor is denied by the website, but there was sudden, “unexplained’ arrests of many Sadrists officials in the province. One line on the Al-Khaleej maybe explains why.

The campaign aims to restructure more than 50% of the police and security leadership and the institutions of the province.

In plain language, this means Amara province is pro-Sadrists and the governor is doing his best to serve the residents which makes the Sadrists much more popular, and that must be changed.
