While the news today con­firms the fail­ure of the par­lia­ment to achieve an agree­ment about the provin­cial elec­tion and the involve­ment of the Amer­i­cans in this issue as Radio Sawa reported that Bush extended his ten­ta­cles in the mat­ter call­ing Abdul Mahdi and Barzani order­ing them solve the issue.

Accor­dance Bloc accused the Amer­i­can ambas­sador Ryan Crocker of being biased towards the Kurds, quot­ing him threat­ened to block the provin­cial elec­tion in case the par­lia­ment does not adopt the United Nation’s deci­sion about Kirkuk.

There are rumors say­ing that the Kurds are now put Kirkuk issue to bar­gain with the North Iraq — Kur­dis­tan region annual budget.

  1. How did the ambas­sador “threaten” anyone?

    The Iraqi par­lia­ment are a bunch of babies, all they do is vote them­selves big salaries and ben­e­fits for themselves.

    They need to get to work and start nego­ti­at­ing with each other to solve Iraq’s prob­lems instead of tak­ing vaca­tions and days off.
