Saudi Arabia involvement in Tripoli

Today’s explosion in Tripoli is going to decide who will inherit the Sunnis extremists in Lebanon after the fall of Hariri’s Al-Mustaqbal Trend.

Last Saturday Al-Akhbarpublished an article explains Al-Qaeda ideology meets this of 14 March-group. The report uses a wahabi book called “Lebanese Hezbollah and the Palestinian cause: a revealing vision” published by Al-Sahab Agency [Al-Qaeda publishers] and written by Atyah-Allah, who is one of Al-Qaeda thinker:

The book establishes a legitimate religious judicial argument, hostile to Hezbollah and the Shiites in general…the writer explains that the Shiites are not part of Islam or a doctrine in Islam. They are practicing “Taqiyya” [dissimulation about one’s religious believes in order to protect one’s self, family or property from harm]. .… saying that Sunnism and Shiiaism are two doctrines of Islam is spreading corruption in the religious of God.

Few days ago, Lebanese political affairs expert Fida’a Itani wrote the following:

Everyone asks as long as there is consensus in Beirut, including the Syria and Iran issues, why we are fighting here [Tripoli]?.

Religious leaders and politicians, talk about opinion split within Saudi Arabia. Circulating Information that Saudi Arabia will continues its support for what they started over the recent years “even If necessary, sacrifice a year profits of oil”, according to a Saudi source there is an indication that the Sunni power struggle in North Lebanon the result of opinion differences of who gets the financial support [from Saudi Arabia].

Reminder, the first call to arm all the Saudi-Wahabis in Tripoli to fight against the Shiites came from Saudi Arabia’s Intelligence agent in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, in May 2008 Tariq Alhomayed wrote this article “After You, Nasrallah”, a direct call for the Sunni islamists to intervene.
