Maliki sacked the negotiation team

Breaking news reported few hours ago on Al-Sharqiya TV, Maliki sacked the whole Iraqi SOFA negotiation team including the head of the team “Al-Hamoud”.

Also there are rumors [denied by Maliki’s spokesman Al-Dabagh] says that SOFA issue is transferred from Foreign Minister Zebari to the national security adviser Muwaffaq Al-Rubaie.

Among the new team there is Maliki’s Bureau Chief and member of Dawa party Tariq Najam.

Interesting article from Kuwati newspaper AL-Qabs correspondent in Baghdad, he answers everybody’s question about the conflicting statements between the Iraqi officials and the Americans.

It seems to be that the American administration is denying every statement issued by the Iraqi officials. The Iraqi street made a mockery of the Iraqi government about these conflicting statements.

The Government claims the ability to maintain security and stability (this is circulates among the Iraqi citizens) — So why they do not agree with the occupation on a timetable under which Iraq is liberated from foreign domination?

This question has become a continuing pressure on Maliki’s government and its allies in the political arena. it was important for government to pump some reassurance among the Iraqi people to calm down the situation. Of course, this is a political fraud according to the American negotiator.

Yesterday, I met an American advisor works in the Green Zone, and I asked him a direct question:

Do you think that the occupation authority in Iraq ready to schedule a withdrawal timetable in the agreement?

He replied: This completely wrong. The American army will not withdraw from Iraq and will remain in multiple forms… Iraqi officials are now the most people on earth need the occupying forces.
