Al-Sadr freeze “forever” statement

You see what is strange about this new Muq­tada Al-Sadr’s state­ment? It is writ­ten in a very plain, direct lan­guage and there is no use of verses from the Quran in the intro­duc­tion and between the lines [which is unusual for Muq­tada and for a cleric].

Greet­ings to my broth­ers in Mahdi Army

First — The freeze of Mahdi Army is still valid for an indef­i­nite period, he who is not com­mit­ted, is not mem­ber of this ide­o­log­i­cal army.

Sec­ond — We put a cul­tural pro­gram for the Mahdi Army and we called it “Al-Mumahdoon”…

Third — I want to inform every­body inside or out­side Iraq that the first Fri­day of Ramadan will be an annual “Occu­pa­tion Rejec­tion” day to demon­strate against the occu­pa­tion peace­fully and each in his neighborhood.
