We have three story versions:
This is the Kurds version:
According to Kurdish MP Mahmud Othman, Maliki is not satisfied with the Foreign Ministry team and want to supervise the negotiation by himself. That is why he chose the new team members from his loyalists.
But it is unknown if Maliki wants to remove the Kurds from the negotiations because there is no official statement yet.
The government version:
Announced by the minister of internal affairs Al-Bolani saying that the change is to give the negotiation processes a great deal of flexibility.
The third version is on the same link above quoting Al-Askari, the United Iraqi Alliance MP who said:
The Prime Minister decided to change the negotiating team after a request issued from the American side because they wanted to be negotiate with figures close to al-Maliki.
