Panic in Kuwait with Iraq — U.S. security agreement

Kuwaiti MP Nasser Al-Duwaila said that Iraq– U.S. does not contain an article confirms that the U.S. will defend Kuwait.

The MP asks the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad to raise this issue in his coming visit to the U.S. and rejects the American plan to arm the Iraqi army with sophisticated weapons which change the military power balance in the region.

He added that Kuwait and Saudi Arabia must maintain their military superiority and that the current American plans of militarization of Iraq is threatening the regional security and put a question mark about American policy in the region.

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported today:

Iraqi army officers: The U.S. wants to build an Iraqi army free of essential weapon.

  3. Paul says:

The United States of America must guarantee the security and safety of not only Kuwait but all countries in the Gulf region. The Islamic Republic of Iran is a great threat to the region and if the Shia regimes of Iran and Iraq are united, as they are now, when the US leaves the region, they will pose great threat to the smaller countries of the Gulf. The expansion of Iranian Empire through its Shia allies must not be underestimated.

The militant Shias of Iran have proved to be very aggressive. Iran has an imperialistic background. When Iranian nationalism, imperialism and Shia militancy are mixed, Iran will be as dangerous as Germany under Hitler. If Kuwaitis want to have permanent security, they must help the Iranian people to change this regime. The threat that has been looming over the Gulf countries for three decades will not end until Iranian regime is finished.

As we witnessed in Iraq, the Shias cleansed Baghdaa from Sunnis and turned it into a Shia city. 75% of the population of Baghdad has been Sunni in all its history. Now 75 percent of its population is Shia. This ethnic cleansing has been going on under US occupation. If US didn’t want it, she could have stopped it. The union of the two Shia countries of Iran and Iraq is inevitable. They are the largest and most powerful countries in the Middle East. They have a historical hatred against the Sunnis. Once they consolidate their powers, nobody can stop them from disintegrating other smaller countries of the Middle East. It seems that the Americans and Iranians are united in empowering the Shias into the most powerful force that can dominate the Gulf.
