Crack between the State and the Supreme clerics, Maliki called Bremer’s mistakes “terror”

Intensive comments from Sistani yesterday called for political accordance about Kirkuk and his representative Al-Karbalai called to speed up the agreement on the provincial election law made Maliki’s spokesman Al-Dabagh publicly criticized the supreme-clerics involvement in politics saying:

We appreciate and respect the role of the religious authority, but we believe that the election is a civil matter, and the religious authority must be a reference of religion matters.

What Dabagh said is a very serious issue and for the Supreme-clerics this is very near to blasphemy but I am sure Al-Dabagh is irritated by Talabani’s deputy the Kurds Barham Salih’s meeting with Sistani yesterday [see this image Salih’s aide distributes money among the poor in Najaf].

That explains Maliki sudden visit to Karbala and his meeting with Sistani’s representative Al-Karbali.

He also criticized Paul Bremer’s decisions saying:

The former U.S. administrator Paul Bremer, has committed many mistakes no less dangerous than these committed by terrorism.
