Many coup predictions

There are many pre­dic­tions of a com­ing coup in Iraq by Iraqi politi­cians, Cha­l­abi for exam­ple, in his meet­ing with Media per­son­al­i­ties he said the following:

Mil­i­tary coup by one of the Shi­ite polit­i­cal blocs is some­thing expected.

Sec­ond pre­dic­tion came from Barzani in his inter­view with Aljazeera yes­ter­day he said:

A mil­i­tary coup in the coun­try is pos­si­ble if the sit­u­a­tion remains as it is.

Barzani harshly attacked Maliki in this inter­view say­ing that he wants to rule Iraq alone and mar­gin­al­ize the Kurds, these kind of attacked were the edi­to­ri­als of many Kur­dish news­pa­pers since yesterday.

Prob­a­bly to legit­imize any action will taken by the Kurds, Kur­dish news­pa­per Al-Saot Al-Akhar counts six points say­ing that Maliki’s con­fronta­tion with the Kurds is already a coup against the constitution.

For­mer Kur­dish min­is­ter Sami Shorash went a step fur­ther say­ing that Maliki is involved in an Iran­ian — Syr­ian plan to hijack Kur­dish democracy.

Although Shorash’s arti­cle called “Kur­dish with­drawal from the polit­i­cal process” but he do not expects that will hap­pened and the Kurds have another plan in mind, which is to out­set Maliki.
