“Special Forces” disappointment after contact with the American embassy
Contacted by Elaph news site by telephone, members of the so-called Sadrists “Special Forces” are ready to reveal all the secrets of the organization in public if protection from assassination provided.
One member told the news site that he is threatened and forced to join Mahdi Army by other members in the organization. His task is to transport arms from Iran to Iraq across the border after dismantling the weapons into smaller parts and reassembling them again inside Iraq.
He revealed that a cleric and other members were ready to appear in a press conference and reveal secret documents,the organization and Muqtada Al-Sadr link to Iran. They contacted the American embassy in Iraq which let them down saying:
The U.S. forces don’t want to compromise fragile security situation in Iraq with provoking the Iranians which means the return of the bomb attacks again and perhaps more than ever.
